Book Challenge Day 23
As I mentioned earlier I’ll be summarizing 28 books every single day. Let’s go!
.
Book E-myth by M. Gerber:
.
The biggest takeaway from “The E-Myth” by Gerber is that entrepreneurs should focus on working on their business, not just in it. In other words, they should take a step back and develop systems and processes to streamline their operations, instead of just getting stuck in day-to-day tasks.
10 Big takeaways from the book:
.
1) Most small business owners fail because they try to do everything themselves and don’t focus on developing their business.
2) A successful business needs a clear vision and a plan to achieve it.
3) Developing systems and processes is essential for creating a scalable and sustainable business.
4) The entrepreneur should focus on the business as a whole, not just individual tasks or departments.
5) Hiring and training employees is crucial for building a successful business.
6) Standard operating procedures (SOPs) are essential for ensuring consistency and quality in operations.
7) Customer service should be a top priority for any business, as it can make or break the reputation of the company.
The entrepreneur should work “on” the business, not just “in” it, to avoid burnout and create growth opportunities.
9) Building a brand and establishing a unique selling proposition (USP) is essential for standing out in a crowded market.
10) Business owners should constantly be learning and improving their skills and knowledge to stay ahead of the competition.
.
Here are 3 more tips I’ve learned from the book
.
1. Regularly review and update your systems and processes to ensure they are still relevant and effective.
2. Focus on building a business that can run without you, so that you can eventually step back and enjoy the benefits of your hard work.
3. Don’t be afraid to take risks and try new things, as long as they align with your overall business goals and vision.
