Book Challenge Day 12 📚
As I mentioned earlier I’ll be summarizing 28 books every single day. Let’s go! 🙌

Book 12: Rejection Proof by Jia Jiang
.
✅ Big idea of the book:
The biggest takeaway from “Rejection Proof” by Jia is that rejection isn’t so bad after all! In fact, it can be quite hilarious. Jia’s book shows that by embracing rejection and being persistent in the face of it, you can achieve amazing things. So go ahead and ask for that raise, pitch that idea, or even ask your crush out on a date. The worst they can say is “no,” and you’ll have a funny story to tell later. Just remember to wear your rejection-proof armor and keep pushing forward!
10 Big takeaways from the book:
1) Rejection can actually be a good thing, if you use it to your advantage. Just like a good workout, rejection helps you grow and become stronger.
2) The fear of rejection is often worse than the rejection itself. Once you realize this, you can start to conquer your fear and build resilience.
3) Reframing your mindset can help you see rejection as a game, where you’re collecting “no’s” to ultimately get to a “yes”. This can take the pressure off and make it more fun.
4) Sometimes all you need to do to get a “yes” is ask. Don’t assume the answer will be no before you even try.
5) Personalizing your request can make a big difference. When you show that you’ve put effort into your ask, it’s more likely to be received positively.
6) Humor can be a great tool for overcoming rejection. If you can make someone laugh, they’re more likely to say yes.
7) Rejection can be an opportunity for connection. By being vulnerable and sharing your story, you can create a deeper connection with the person you’re asking.
8) Getting rejected can actually help you refine your approach and make it more effective in the future.
9) Don’t take rejection personally. It’s often not about you, but rather about the other person’s circumstances or preferences.
10) By embracing rejection and making it a part of your life, you can ultimately become more resilient, confident, and successful.

✅ Here are 3 more tips I’ve learned from the book
.
- I learned that I should just do THE HARDEST thing now. Because usually the reason I don’t do it because I have a fear of rejection.
- It’s “cheaper” to do it NOW than later. It’s harder and more expensive to procrastinate and wait.
- It is easier than we think. It’s only a voice in our head. And with the time it gets even easier.
